Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 2026 • Last Updated: June 18, 2026
The short version: by default, TARRY stores all of your prayer data — journals, sessions, streaks, answered prayers — on your device only. Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in with your email, that same data is also saved to your private account in our cloud database (Supabase) so it can sync across your devices. You can delete your account and its data at any time. Your prayer life is between you and God.
Who We Are
TARRY is a free prayer app built by Jeremy Dudley. It is a ministry tool, not a commercial product. You can reach us at dadlienterprise@gmail.com.
What Data We Collect
TARRY collects the following information:
- Prayer sessions — the gates you prayed through, how long you prayed, and whether you completed the full 7-gate journey. Stored locally on your device only.
- Prayer journal entries — anything you write in the journal is stored locally on your device only. We never see it.
- Answered prayers — entries you mark as answered. Stored locally on your device only.
- Streak and milestone data — your prayer streak, badge progress, and milestone statistics. Stored locally on your device only.
- App settings — your preferences (reminder time, dwelling screen settings). Stored locally on your device only.
If you stay a guest (do not sign in), none of this data is transmitted to any server, and deleting the app deletes all of it. If you choose to sign in, see "Optional Accounts & Cross-Device Sync" below for what is stored in the cloud and how to delete it.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name.
- We do not collect your email address unless you choose to sign in (then it is used only to sign you in and identify your account — see below).
- We do not collect your location.
- We do not collect payment information (the app is free).
- We do not run analytics that identify you personally.
- We do not sell any data to any third party.
Optional Accounts & Cross-Device Sync
TARRY is guest-first: anyone can pray without an account. If you want your progress to follow you between your phone and the web app, you can optionally sign in. Here is exactly how that works:
- Email-only sign-in. You enter your email and we send you a one-time 6-digit code (and/or a magic link). There is no password. We store your email only to identify your account and to send you that sign-in code.
- What syncs. While signed in, your prayer streak, last-prayed date, prayer sessions, journal entries, answered prayers, milestone statistics, and earned badges are saved to your private account so they match on every device you sign in on.
- Where it is stored. This data lives in our cloud database provided by Supabase. It is protected by Row-Level Security, which means each person can only ever read or write their own data. No other user can see your prayers.
- Deleting your account. In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account & All Data. This permanently deletes your synced prayer data from the cloud and returns the app to guest mode. You may also email us to request deletion.
Worship Music (YouTube)
TARRY plays Creative Church worship clips through the YouTube embedded player. When you use the worship feature, YouTube's standard privacy policies apply. YouTube may collect information according to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. We have no control over and receive no data from this interaction.
Email List (Marketing Site Only)
If you sign up for launch notifications on our website, your email address is stored in our Mailchimp account. We use it only to notify you when the app is available. We do not share your email with anyone. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
Children's Privacy
TARRY is designed for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Services
TARRY uses the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:
- Expo (EAS) — app build and distribution platform. expo.dev/privacy
- Supabase — the login system and cloud database used only if you choose to sign in. supabase.com/privacy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution. Each platform's standard policies apply to your device and account.
- YouTube (Creative Church worship) — embedded video playback. Google's privacy policy applies.
Data Security
As a guest, your prayer data is stored on your device's own local storage, protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID, etc.). If you sign in, your synced data is stored in Supabase over an encrypted connection and isolated to your account by Row-Level Security, so no other user can access it. You can delete your synced data at any time from Settings → Account.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and notify users through the app if the change affects how we handle data.
